HDME Series Oil Mist Eliminators should be used on every rotary vane pump exhaust port. Oil mist/vapor will be exhausted from the pump's exhaust into the atmosphere whenever the pump operates between the atmosphere and one millibar. The higher the inlet pressure, the more oil mist/vapor will be expelled into the work area. This mist is unhealthy to breathe and will leave an oily residue on lab equipment.
