Key High offers many standard building block components, including the Bell Jars, Collars, and Baseplates offered in this section. These standard components allow users to quickly integrate "standard" components to build up a working vacuum chamber.
Key High's Bell Jars, Collars, and Baseplates are fabricated from 304l stainless steel, which has excellent corrosion resistance. These components will operate in pressures as low as 2 x 10-9 torr. The tube portions of these components have a smooth, satin glass bead finish. The flanges are mechanically polished to a 32 rms finish. TIG welds are passivated.
Our facility performs machining, welding, assembly, and mass spectrometer leak testing. All parts are cleaned before welding, allowing bright, clean, smooth welds. Automated pulsed welding is used wherever possible, resulting in superior-quality weld beads. Upon completion of fabrication, weldments are finished per specification, cleaned, mass spectrometer leak tested, and then prepared for shipment.
